I’ve had the chance to test many side-by-side vehicles over the past few years. On some, the added equipment was limited to a set of mirrors. On others, I’ve tested fully equipped SSVs, including complete cabins and even, in one case, heating and air conditioning.

The Can-Am side mirrors are very well designed. They integrate nicely with the Maverick’s design. However, I find their price a bit high.

All-Terrain Trunk Cover
Next, you’ll need storage. That’s where the off-road rear trunk cover comes in handy. I think it’s probably the best-integrated accessory in the entire quad industry. This Can-Am accessory transforms the rear cargo space into a large trunk. It has dustproof and waterproof characteristics. The trunk is the same whether for the Maverick Trail or Sport. If you travel or need to transport tools, you’ll definitely want to add this trunk cover to your accessories list. The price may seem high, but it’s worth every dollar!

Clear Half Windshield
When it comes to windshields, it’s a personal choice. Some prefer full windshields, while others like half-windshields. Some even go for windshields that open. Personally, I prefer half-windshields. I agree that they offer less protection. But they allow good air circulation in the summer, and your view is always clear since you look over the top. I recommend the model below.

For roofs, again, there are many options. The important thing is to have a roof over your head if your Maverick doesn’t come with one as standard. I like the model below because it integrates well with the vehicle’s design. Plus, it’s relatively affordable.

LinQ Base Installation Kit
The last item on my list is optional depending on your needs. You’ll need it if you equip your quad with a trunk cover and want to attach a LinQ accessory. Perhaps you want to install an extra fuel tank, for example. This is a LinQ base installation kit.
It’s worth noting that the manufacturer doesn’t recommend attaching a LinQ fuel tank here. That said, I’ve done it several times without any issues. If you decide to do it, proceed at your own risk – after all, it’s a fuel tank.
