ToggleWhether it’s to face wind, rain, or cold, having the right gear makes all the difference during my outdoor outings. Each piece of clothing I choose combines comfort, performance, and practicality. This lets me stay protected while moving freely. Today, I’m presenting my KLIM essentials: the Eclipse jacket, the Halo pullover, and the Taylor Mountain Stretch pants.
KLIM Eclipse Jacket: my essential against wind and rain

The KLIM Eclipse jacket comes with me on every outing, without exception. Its GORE-TEX fabric lets nothing through, neither wind nor rain. What I particularly appreciate is that it’s ultra compact and packs into its own pocket. It takes up no space in my trunk, and I know it’s there just in case.

In summer, when it’s warm but the wind gets cool while riding, I wear it directly over a T-shirt. The mesh lining inside makes the jacket comfortable even with a short-sleeve top. If a shower surprises me, I stay completely dry.

I also like the underarm openings, perfect for ventilating the jacket when needed. What would be even better is if they were placed slightly more toward the front, because you can slightly feel the zippers when putting the jacket on. However, after a few minutes, I don’t notice them at all. The sealed zippered pockets are a real plus, as are the adjustable hook-and-loop cuffs that prevent cold air from seeping into the sleeves. The draw cord at the waist effectively blocks wind from below. In short, I couldn’t do without this jacket anymore.

KLIM Halo Pullover: my no-compromise warmth layer

The Halo pullover becomes a must as soon as the temperature drops, whether early morning, evening, or in the fall. Its soft, stretchy fleece fabric retains heat while offering great freedom of movement. I particularly appreciate its high collar, which effectively protects the neck. However, adding a small zipper would have allowed better temperature regulation on milder days. The thumbholes, for their part, prevent wind from seeping into the sleeves and add a thoughtful touch of comfort.
Its breathable, moisture-wicking fabric keeps me comfortable even during effort on the trails. The zippered pockets are perfect. The fit lets me layer without excess bulk. Frankly, this pullover has become essential for me. It provides warmth, comfort, and freedom of movement.

KLIM Taylor Mountain Stretch Pants: Versatile, Lightweight, and Practical

For pants, I’ve gone with the Taylor Mountain Stretch. They are lightweight while still durable and stretch in four directions. Perfect for moving freely on a quad. What I particularly like is that I can turn the lower leg into ¾-length thanks to the adjustable hems. Even the style at the bottom can be changed, more or less fitted, depending on my needs. Ideal when it’s hot, or to cool off during a ride.

The pants are not waterproof, but they repel water and dry quickly thanks to their high-performance fabric. A blend of lightweight, durable nylon. It’s perfect after going through a puddle or an unexpected shower. Plus, they protect me from unwanted mosquitoes when taking a break in the forest. Their practical pockets, including a zippered thigh pocket, let me keep my essentials within easy reach.
It’s important to note that the pants don’t provide extra warmth. For outings in cooler weather, it’s best to plan an additional layer underneath to stay comfortable.
