ToggleThis morning, the sun is shining. Indeed, the weather forecast doesn’t mention any rain for the day. Our rain gear will stay neatly packed. The route for this third day of our Gaspésie Quad Tour is approximately 150 km. We expect to arrive in Percé by mid-afternoon.
A Perfect Day for Quad Riding
The rain from the past few days has allowed us to ride without any dust. Additionally, even though the sun is out, the air is cool. It’s very comfortable.
Today’s route is mainly on forest trails. This allows the group to make good progress throughout the morning.
Grande-Rivière Bridge
One of the iconic spots for those touring Gaspésie by quad is the famous bridge spanning Grande-Rivière. This site is absolutely stunning. The crystal-clear water of this river is truly remarkable. The bridge, nearly 82 metres long, is impressive and allows us to cross this river surrounded by mountains.
On either side of the river, viewpoints have been set up to admire the landscape. It was at one of these spots that we stopped for lunch.
Entering Percé
The afternoon route is about 45 km. As we ride, we notice the soil becoming increasingly red as we approach our destination. For those who have visited Percé by quad before, it is interesting to know that the trail has been relocated since last year.
This new section is much less rough. This allowed us to arrive in Percé around 2:30 PM. In addition to enjoying the unique scenery of the area, we can rest a bit after the first three days of our Gaspésie Quad Tour.
This way, we’ll be fresh and ready to continue our journey tomorrow morning.
