ToggleThis morning, I woke up to the faint sound of the waves… It’s so magical! However, the sound of the rain falling on the ground was a little less so. So, it was under a light shower that I loaded my luggage into the support trailer and secured the camera and drone cases to the quad. Thus began my second day of this Gaspésie Quad Tour 2024.
Today, we happily surpassed 200 km of trails. Once again, we enjoyed a nice variety ranging from wide forest paths to narrow, winding, or rocky trails. This diversity is one of the things that quad riders really appreciate when they discover the quad trails of Gaspésie. Believe me, it’s anything but monotonous!
That said, I invite you to view the photo album of this second day at the bottom of this text…
The Rain Gives Way to the Sun
The first hours of our day were spent in the rain. Fortunately, towards the end of the morning, it stopped, and a few hours later, we even had a few rays of sunshine.
The rain from the past few days made the trail very slippery in many places. We had to stay alert to keep full control of our rides. Like many people, I found that this added a bit of excitement to our Gaspésie Quad Tour.
Fewer Mechanical Issues
While the first day was marked by mechanical breakdowns and numerous flat tires, the second day was much quieter in this regard. However, an electrical issue forced one of the participants to make a quick visit to a dealer. After this repair, he was able to get back on track and rejoin the group in the afternoon.
The Joy of Riding a Quad
In the last two or three hours of our day, we travelled through beautiful, wonderfully winding trails. I was really happy to ride at a good pace on these paths. Indeed, the group’s pace was fast, allowing us to push our machines a bit more. I love riding on this type of trail, and it’s definitely where I’ve had the most fun riding since the beginning of our quad tour of Gaspésie.
We arrived at our destination around 5:30 PM. After a good shower, we enjoyed a nice dinner before retiring for the night. We will resume our journey at 8 AM for our third day of travel. See you tomorrow!
